Q Is it just one piece?
It comes with one SOVA Nightguard. It can be worn on either the upper or lower, but 99% of our customers wear it on the upper. There really is no need to wear one on both the upper and lower.
Q Will this product fit everyone?
The SOVA Mouthguard is made for patients 12 years of age and older. It will fit nearly every jawline in this age group with the exception of extremely small or large jaws.
Q Can this product help to reduce snoring?
The SOVA Night Guard is not designed to help snoring. It is designed to help with bruxism.
Is this product a hard plastic after the molding process or is it “gummy”?
The product comes hard, becomes soft and pliable when heated in water, and then becomes hard again once molded.
is this workable all day?
The SOVA Night Guard can be comfortably worn during the day. When you are speaking you will be able to tell that you are wearing a mouth guard, however, your speech will be clearly understood.
Can this mouth guard be worn for sports athletes playing basketball, baseball or football?
The SOVA Night Guard is designed to protect teeth from forces caused by grinding and clenching. It is not intended to be worn like a mouth guard for sports.
When or how often should the night guard be replaced?
We recommend you replace your SOVA Night Guard once per year for sanitary reasons. With excellent care, a light grinder may not need to replace it as often. Below are some tips for caring for your SOVA.
CARE AND STORING YOUR SOVA NIGHT GUARD
* Clean your guard with a toothbrush and non-whitening toothpaste or mild soap.
* You can also soak it in 3% hydrogen peroxide for no more than 10 minutes.
* Do NOT use denture tablets, dish soap, or mouthwash.
* AVOID products containing alcohol (hand-sanitizer, etc.) or harsh cleansers (bleach, etc.).
* Do not wash your guard in the dishwasher or expose it to extreme heat.
* Keep out of direct sunlight.
* Carefully rinse and dry before storing your guard at room temperature.
