Noise-isolating earbuds are far from novel, but the Plugfones FREEREIGN flips a common equation on its proverbial ear: Plugfones have engineered a product that’s earplug first, earbud second. Building on what they have learned for the past 6 years producing WIRED Plugfones, they have SEVERED the cable with Plugfones FREEREIGN. These Bluetooth 5.0 earplugs offer the same top-notch aural quality as the wired Plugfones, but without the hassle of a 3.5mm connector.

Volume Limiting (VL) Technology Available

Available only on industrial Plugfones products, WorkSafe Volume Limiting Technology keeps speaker volume below 82 dB and compliant with OSHA’s max volume guidelines. The jack contains strategically placed resistors to restrict volume levels from reaching the full capabilities of the attached device.

SoundSeal™ Noise-Suppressing Technology

SoundSeal noise-suppressing technology minimizes environmental noise to give you an immersive, unparalleled listening experience. It acts as a barrier between you and everything you don’t want to hear, creating an atmosphere singular to you and your music.

Product Care

Cleaning

Gently wipe the earplug tips and control module with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.
Avoid using harsh chemicals or submerging any part of the device in water, as this may damage electronic components.
Ensure all components are completely dry before use or storage.

Storage

Store the earphones in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Use the provided carrying case to protect the device from physical damage and dust when not in use.
Avoid wrapping the cord tightly around the device; instead, loosely coil it to prevent strain on the connections.

Battery Maintenance

Do not overcharge; disconnect the device from the power source once charging is complete.
If the device will not be used for an extended period, charge it fully before storage and recharge it every three months to maintain battery health.

Fitting

The Plugfones FreeReign™ comes with two types of interchangeable earplugs:

ComforTiered™ Foam Plugs (NRR 29 dB) – Soft and expandable for maximum noise reduction.
ComforTiered™ Silicone Plugs (NRR 27 dB) – Durable and reusable for a balanced fit.
Select the earplug type that best suits your comfort and noise reduction needs.
Ensure the earplug is securely attached to the Plugfones for proper sound and protection.

Powering On/Off

On: Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and blue, indicating pairing mode.
Off: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red, then turns off.

Bluetooth Pairing

Ensure your device’s Bluetooth function is enabled.
With the earplug headphones powered off, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode; the LED will flash red and blue alternately.
On your device, search for and select “Plugfones FreeReign” from the list of available Bluetooth devices.
Once paired, the LED will flash blue every 5 seconds, indicating a successful connection.

Volume and Playback Control

Volume Up: Quick press the “+” button.
Volume Down: Quick press the “−” button.
Next Track: Press and hold the “+” button.
Previous Track: Press and hold the “−” button.
Play/Pause: Quick press the center button.

Call Management

Answer/End Call: Quick press the center button during an incoming call to answer, or during a call to end it.
Reject Call: Press and hold the center button for 2 seconds during an incoming call.
